My Own Voice is an interactive app that enables you to consider and record your end of life care wishes and then share those wishes. With this information, your loved ones and caregivers can make the right decisions on your behalf if they're ever called upon to do so. While no one likes to think about dying, communicating your end of life care wishes is an important thing to do because it ensures your wishes will be followed should you ever be unable to communicate on your own because of a coma, dementia or other disability. My Own Voice asks you a series of questions around how you want to live your final days and then uses the video record feature on your iPad or iPhone to capture your answers. Once you're done answering these questions, My Own Voice takes your recorded responses and stitches them together into one single video. You then upload that video to our servers and share it with those you want to see it (e.g. family, loved ones, doctor, etc.) through password protected invitations that you manage and control. Your video is safely and securely stored, and no one will see it except those you invite to do so. My Own Voice is free to download and use to create your video. A low annual subscription fee of $4.99 is required for you to share your video with others and ensure your end of life care wishes are heard, understood and followed.
